Photos of the Bug

Here is Norah all bundled up and ready for our morning run. Joe and I have been running 3 mornings a week and it feels so good!

Anyway, the real purpose of this post is to share the link to some pictures that I had taken of Norah for Father's Day. The photographer is in the process of adding more but click right here and tell me which one you like best! If you are prompted to enter a password, it is: Norah. It was supposed to be a surprise for Joe, but when I saw them I couldn't help but show him because she is so darn cute.

P.S Stay tuned for a weekend report from a certain guest blogger :)

Seriously Good Deal, Seriously

I don't usually like to post twice in a row but I can't help it when I find a great deal, I just want to share it!! From now until May 31st you can get 80% on restaurant.com when you enter the code "SPECIAL" at checkout. Ok let me explain how it works. Restaurant.com basically gets business for local restaurants by offering big discounts. For instance, they sell $25 gift certificates for $10 (normally). So with your 80% off code you'll be spending $2 for a $25 gift certificate. The catch is that your final check at the restaurant has to be at least $35. So bottom line you're spending $12 on a $35 meal. Not too shabby! You can also buy a $10 gift certificate for .60 (with a $20 minimum purchase, bottom line: $10.60 on a $20 meal)! This is a GREAT idea for Father's Day or Birthdays, Anniversaries, and the list goes on. They are valid for a year, but hurry because this offer ends on the 31st!

Old Navy Weekly

I'm surprised I haven't posted about this until now but a couple of weeks ago I was one of the few LUCKY ones to snag a $75 off $100 coupon on the OldNavyWeekly.com site (yes, that's right, I paid $25 for $100 worth of clothes). They also have some other great coupons like 20% off, etc. If you want to be one of the lucky ones you will have to (like I did) constantly check the site because they only "hide" so many and they are gone FAST! They have always "reset" the site on Thursdays but it looks like they will be doing it on Sunday this week. So, if you have the time, go for it! Just a sidenote: they make it really hard to find the high value coupons so I suggest opening two tabs and keeping your eye on a blog (such as hip2save.blogspot.com) that has an ongoing conversation in the comment section where viewers will let you know where they are hidden once they find them. Good luck! And one more thing: now through May 30th Old Navy is taking an additional 50% off clearance items!

Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend was so fun and went by way too fast. Joe's brother Ben and his family drove up from Vegas and we ended up spending the whole weekend at Aaron's just hanging out. It was a little crazy; 6 adults, 8 kids and 3 dogs, but so much fun. The best part was probably the nights when we would sit around the table, just talking and laughing a lot! Joe and his brothers are really funny when they get together. Here are a couple of pictures of a hike we took on Saturday.

Tuesday

ORYGUN

Would you believe this is the only picture I took during my whole trip? I hate that! Well, it was a great trip. Norah was perfect on the plane. I didn't have to stand up with her once. I was so relieved. She had some milestones while we were there. She decided that she didn't really like being spoon fed very much anymore so I started to feed her more "people" food, in tiny pieces. She loves it. She had pirates booty, cheerios, mandarin oranges, and pasta. She is growing up so fast! She also started sleeping in 7-8 hour stretches while we were there. Woohoo! Last night she sang herself to sleep and it was very cute. She is officially mobile. She can crawl but it has to be for something she REALLY wants. I loved getting to spend time with my sister (and mom and grandma for the three days they were there)! She taught me how to make earrings amongst some various other crafts. She is so naturally talented and crafty. It was so nice to be there. I was sad when I had to leave, I miss them already! Come see us soon guys!!

Norah was SO happy to see her daddy. She was seriously smiling at him for 3 hours straight. No one can make her giggle like her daddy can. It was so stinkin cute. While I was gone my amazing husband kept himself busy by deep cleaning the entire house and completely organizing mine and Norah's clothes (something I struggle with for some reason). He also painted our dresser which looks fabulous, and to celebrate our return, he took us to dinner at Ikea (swedish meatballs, yum!!) and Norah, of course, loved her pasta. Here's a picture of our little cutie pie. If you look close, you can tell that those bottom teeth are getting ready to show their faces!!

Monday

Mother's Day

Well it was my first official Mother's Day as a Mommy and I have to say, I kind of like the holiday. Joe took care of Norah most of the day while I got a "break." I slept in and got breakfast in bed. I got a new (used) dresser and some spring clothes! Man, I have the best hubby! We spent the majority of the day at a cabin in American Fork canyon. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. I thought the picture above was kind of funny because Joe really wanted a picture of us in front of the mountain but the mountain is totally whited out and it looks like we're posing in front of some brown trees! Anyway, I savored my last few minutes of Mother's Day and didn't want it to end! Tonight I will get on a plane with Norah and fly to Portland where I'll spend a week with my sister and her family to celebrate Will's graduation from Oregon Law. Go Will! Wish me luck on the plane!!

Thursday

Crazy for Craisins

Is it possible to eat too many? I'm probably overstepping my sugar intake but seriously, I can't stop. I have always been a cranberry person though--cranberry sauce, cranberry juice, cranberry relish, cranberry souflee, you name it! What does it all mean? Is my body trying to tell me something? Hm...

Monday

I Did It

Verdict: I like it. I like it a lot.

This little chicka is SO close to crawling. You know what that means, time to baby-proof:

While I got my haircut, Joe got to go ride dirtbikes with his brother Aaron this weekend. He had a blast, of course, and came back in one piece:
