I'm an Aunt Again!

My sister Morgan and her husband Will welcomed another sweet little baby girl this morning, Marley B. Fisher, weighing 7lbs.2oz (exactly what Tatum weighed) and measuring 19 inches long. We got to see her on Skype tonight and she is beautiful! We are so excited for them and their little family. Congratulations guys!

And this:
Yes, this is my audience. You see, while taking a shower I sometimes have to entertain this crowd by singing and dancing to James Brown's "I Feel Good" and playing peek-a-boo behind the curtains. I love my life.

Money Saver!

I just spent $35 on 250 diapers AND 720 sensitive wipes. For this same purchase, I would have spent almost $60 at Target. Here's the deal: go to diapers.com. Pick your items and make sure they total at least $49 because if they do you get FREE 2-day shipping, an EXTRA $10 off, AND a $15 mail -in rebate. That's a total of $35 in savings! To get the extra 10 bucks off, enter the code "DIAPIE" at checkout. For rebate info, go here: http://www.diapers.com/helpcenter/parenting.htm. You have the option of either getting a free 1-year subscription to Parenting magazine or you can opt out and get the cash by mailing in the form AND a copy of your receipt!

Yeah for saving money! Tell your friends!

An Ode to Owen

While living in New Jersey, Owen was not allowed to leave the kitchen area. Here in Utah, he thinks he's got the run of the house. So, we wake up to this:Norah has been able to get to know him better and she can't get enough of him.He on the other hand, could care less. She'll put her hand on his paw and he'll move it away. She'll talk and sing to him and he'll roll his eyes. Sometimes though, I'll call him over to entertain her for a minute while I try to get some stuff done. Thanks, Owen.As you can see from the above picture, Norah is sitting up really well.

Sunday

Did We Mention?

We have the cutest baby in the world.

On the Road Again

Since this is Joseph and Lauren's Blog I guess I can make a post. I am not very good at putting my thoughts down but I guess this is one way to get better.

Never say never because the Lord might have another plan! As for us we said that we would never live in Utah and now here we are. News travels fast but I thought I'd make an "official" post about our current situation. About a week and a half Owen and I packed up all of our stuff and drove the 32+ hours to where we now reside: Orem, Utah where I have an awesome job. Liberty Mutual didn't work out but I am a little more understanding as to why. This is an awesome opportunity. I'm a loan officer working for Box Home Loans. When the rates dropped the company was inundated with business and working at 900% capacity totally on the forefront of the mortgage business, and totally streamlined the whole process making it a lot cheaper and easier to get a mortgage loan. Check out the website if you are looking to refinance or make a purchase. www.boxhomeloans.com.

I love the people I work with, I am learning so much, and we live close enough for me to walk home for lunch with my amazing wife and the-cutest-daughter, Norah.

Anyways, Norah and Lauren followed us three days later on a plane. We are currently living in the basement apartment of my brother's adopted son's birth mother's parent's house. They have been so kind and so generous to let us stay here while we save up to buy a house, hopefully within the next six months. We were sad to move away from family but are looking forward to the opportunities the Lord has in store for us.

25 Random Things

About Me, because everyone else is doing it.

1. I absolutely love being a mother. All the smiles, giggles, snuggles, and kisses make handling even the most difficult/colic/ultra-sensitive baby completely worth it.

2. My right ear is smaller than my left.

3. Two weeks after I got my license I was side-swiped and t-boned by an 18-wheeler and totaled my first car.

4. When I was in high school my step-dad had me memorize a lot of things like poems, The Family Proclamation, a book of sign language, the temples of the world, etc. At the time I hated it but I'm grateful now because I can memorize things so easily.

5. Since Joe and I have been married we've lived in four states and moved five times.

6. I have always wanted 12 kids, and maybe I still do...

7. I could eat a cannoli every day of my life and not get sick of them. Unfortunately I can't seem to get my hands on one out here so I'll have to open my own Cannoli Kitchen.

8. I taught myself how to play the basics of piano and begged my mom to get me lessons.

9. When I was a kid my family had a rottweiler named Harley. After my dad passed away, he thought he was in charge and would try to keep me in line by biting my ankles and stealing my food.

10. When I was six I fell down the stairs in my sleep. I didn't wake up.

11. I've always wanted to go for a ride in a hot-air balloon. It would have to be in New Jersey of course so I could enjoy all the beautiful, green, rolling hills.

12. In high school I woke up every morning at 5 a.m to drive 20-30 minutes to early morning seminary.

13. When I was little I wanted to be a Neonatologist when I grew up. I still would love to work in the medical field someday.

14. I love the summer and everything about it. I think I was meant to be born somewhere warm.

15. When I was 15 I wanted to go to the most random EFY. I went to Bowling Green, Kentucky.

16. I once went on three dates in one day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. They must not have been very wonderful though because I can't remember who I went with.

17. I have a horrible memory when it comes to movies. For some reason I cannot quote movies like most. Maybe it's because I always fall asleep.

18. I have a recurring nightmare of losing my teeth.

19. When I'm stressed I get red spots on my tongue. Very weird.

20. I hate being touched by someone with wet hands. Yuck.

21. I'm getting a degree in Deaf Studies/Interpreting and would love to translate for the Church.

22. Joe and I slept on a twin-sized bed for the first three months of our marriage. Yesterday we bought a king-sized bed.

23. Last time I checked we have 36 nieces and nephews.

24. I've said I'd never live in Utah.

25. I live in Utah.
