Excuses
The truth is, I hate blogging without pictures. We take nearly all of our pictures with Joe's iphone which he consequently always has with him which consequently results in myself not blogging. Today I got to swipe some pictures off his phone. Here's Norah and Daddy going for a morning swim. So excited!..
Happy Birthday Daddy! June 1st was Joe's birthday. Can anyone guess how old he turned!? We celebrated on Sunday with a little BBQ and a cake. Love you babe! Thanks for being such a great Daddy and hubby!
I am 36 weeks pregnant! Norah was born at 37 weeks, which is crazy to think about. I know all babies/pregnancies are different, and I kind of feel like this little guy isn't ready to come that soon (or is it really me that's not ready!?), but only time will tell! Here's a picture to give you an idea of how big I am. We had dinner with Hilary and Cameron tonight. They live in "Old Town" Alexandria in a little (tiny) row-home. SO CUTE. We fell in love with the little historic city. Now if only we could come up with $1.2 million. Hmmm..

Renewed Effort
I recently found the blog of an old friend and was floored (and in awe) at how diligent she had been in blogging at least weekly for the past two years! That's when I determined that I would attempt to be just as diligent. I mean, this is the only form of a journal I have ever kept (for longer than 2 entries). I love the thought of looking back through the posts and recalling memories, facts, pictures, events, etc in our life.
So that's it, I'm doing it!
Starting tomorrow.

Past Month Randomness
I can't believe it's been over a month since I've last posted! How annoying! So here's a mini update (but mostly a picture overload) on our family. We are love love loving Northern Virginia. It's beautiful. DC is such a pretty, clean and active city. There is so much to do (and lots that's free!).
Joe is working hard (and a lot). He typically works 10 hour days, 6 days a week. We try to soak up as much family time as possible in the mornings and on Sundays. I'm so blessed to have such a hard working husband.
I am now 33 weeks pregnant. It's hard to believe the boy could be here in 4-7 weeks! Everything is pretty much ready for him - we just need a baby (and a name). I've been busy the past couple weeks with finals. I start 2 new classes on Monday (am I crazy?).
Norah is getting so big. I know, I say that all the time, but she really is growing and changing so much. I just want to squeeze her all day! She's my little buddy.
Here are some pictures:
See what I mean? Beautiful.
(I just noticed that Hilary and I are in the above picture. Hilary is my bff (I just said bff!) from literally first grade. She and her boyfriend live in NOVA too! It's been really fun to hang out with them. Love them).

My Mom and Grandma live about a 3 and a half hour drive away. My Mom has already visited us once already and will be coming down with my Grandma for Memorial Day weekend. YES! I love having them close. Here's Nay Nay and Norah celebrating Nay Nay's 53rd birthday. (I know, she looks 35!!)

The city where we live had an event where they set up all the trucks that the city uses for kids to climb around in. Norah is fascinated with big trucks so we decided to take her, but as soon as she heard someone say "look, a baby" she was gone! A little Mommy, indeed.

We have a cool pizza place just across the street from us called Generous George/Positive Pizza. It's very kid friendly. They let the kids build their own pizza and they get a chef's hat and a balloon. Norah loves it not only because pizza is her favorite food but there is a lot to look at there too...

We went to the National Zoo this past week. It was a perfect day.

We have a pretty large porch on the back of our apartment. It's really nice because it serves as a "backyard" for Norah. Here she is out playing in her PJs before bed. She's got her kitchen (thanks to Nay Nay)..
Her bike (thanks to Nay Nay).. (don't even worry that we can talk to our neighbors across the courtyard if we wanted to. it took a little while to get used to, but really no one is ever outside!)
And her tent! She's loves it..
